We celebrated 4 Years of Olson House during the month of June with joy and gratefulness. We cannot believe how quickly time flies and are thankful for your continued support, community and love of beautiful home interiors. You are truly what makes this reality possible and utterly enjoyable at the same time!

Our midsummer-themed event was on June 28th and not to toot our own horn, but we know how to throw a good party. Many friends and customers stopped by to partake in the fun! Here are some pictures to give you a glimpse at the food, drinks and decorations. If you have never attended one of our events, maybe it will convince you to stop by next time. If you weren't able to come, drool over that good food and we'll see you next time! And if you were there, thank you many many times!
We have the best staff; so supportive, positive, other-minded, creative, drama-free and fun! Pictured from left to right are: Faryn, Anne, Teresa and our new intern, Ariese. Not pictured are Kaitlin and Rose who are off to new, exciting chapters! We will miss them dearly.
Each season we switch the fabric, furniture and window installation at the front of our store. Some of our staff and even customers made beautiful paper flowers to enhance our mid-summer theme. We looked up a couple videos on YouTube, bought some lovely-colored tissue paper and had multiple craft days. They turned out wonderfully and bonus, will last much longer than fresh blooms.
One of our strongest values is collaborating with other creatives and business owners in Milwaukee. One of these is Liz from Floral Alchemy. She has unfailingly provided gorgeous blooms and bouquets for countless Olson House events. Liz gifted us this perfect Scandinavian mid-summer vibe bouquet in honor of 4 years! We look forward to collaborating time and time again as we watch each other achieve our dreams.
Local to Milwaukee, the Central Standard Craft Distillery made us their version of the Finnish Long Drink for the party. Central Standard specializes in quality spirits and their gin mixed with some grapefruit...let's just say it went fast, even though we were only handing out tasters. We are definitely going to head over to their distillery ASAP to try some more of their handmade spirit varieties.
And last but certainly not least, the food. If you've attended one of our events, you know the food is only of the highest scrumptious quality. We are asked often about the source of these treats and to our delight, we tell all that it's from our secret Scandinavian cook. And no, this isn't a hint or even to be comical necessarily. It's true! She's so good at what she does, she wants to keep her love of making authentic Scandinavian appetizers small-scale. So if you want more, come to our next event!
It was a most enjoyable evening, relishing in making it to the 4 year mark and celebrating with YOU, the ones who make it all possible. We'll end this post with a personal note from owner, Teresa Olson:
