All Kauniste textiles are made in Europe from spinning of the yarns to printing and sewing of the final product. The fabric production follows the Oeko-tex standards to make sure the textiles contain no harmful chemicals to human skin and that the production follows ethical and ecological criteria. All Kauniste textiles are hand printed in Finland with water-based, solvent-free inks. Great care is taken not to waste water during production. Linen blend fabrics are chosen for their durability, absorption and quick drying properties. Linen leaves virtually no excess waste in production, and only improves in texture with age.
